North Korea warns the risk of war against accidental air attack during US South Korean exercises

SEUL (South Korea): North Korea has strongly criticized the common military exercises between the United States and South Korea, removing a “provocative act” and a warning that even an “accidental blow” could climb into a large-scale conflict. The statement comes just a few days after an inconvenience of the Air Forces in South Korea led to the bombs in a civil village.

“This is a dangerous provocative act of leading the acute situation on the Korean peninsula, which can arouse a physical conflict between the two parties with the help of a unique accident,” said the Pyongyang Foreign Ministry, as the state media reported.

The large -scale exercises “Freedom Shield 2025”, which involve live, virtual and field training, started on Monday and will continue until March 21, according to an American military statement.

Pyongyang frequently condemns military cooperation between Washington and Seoul, looking at him as a preparation for an invasion. In response, North Korea has often performed rocket tests as a force show.

The latest criticisms follow an incident on March 6, when two Fighters in South Korea missed eight bombs in a village during a common training exercise. The National Fire Agency in South Korea has confirmed that 15 people, including both civilians and military personnel, were injured in the accident.

The tensions between the two Korea remain high, North Korea launching several ballistic missiles last year in defying UN sanctions. The two nations have remained technically in the war since the Korean conflict of 1950-1953 ended in an armistice and not in a peace treaty.

The United States retains a significant military presence in South Korea, with tens of thousands of troops stationed in the country as a discouragement element against Pyongyang. The exercises for the outskirts of freedom are among the greatest joint exercises performed by allies each year.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea has continued to condemn the exercises, calling “an aggressive and confronted war repetition.” Pyongyang previously accused Washington of “political and military challenges”, after a US Navy aircraft carrier reached in the south -Korean port Last week.
