The number of houses damaged in accidental bombardments increases up to 152

Pocheon, South Korea, March 10 (Yonhap) – the number of houses damaged in the accidental bombing of a northern village increased by 10-152 following a third survey, the local administration said on Monday.

The village of Pocheon, about 40 kilometers north of Seoul, suffered large-scale damage, after two “abnormal” KF-16 fighter jets threw eight MK-82 bombs outside a training period during live on Thursday.

Initially, 58 houses were reported, but the number increased with each new survey, and following a third survey, it increased from 142 to 152, according to the Pocheon Municipal Government.

The number of people injured in the accident is 31: 19 civilians and 12 soldiers.

“We plan to continue the damage polls this week, so that the damages could be changed,” said a municipal official.

The central government declared the affected area a special area for disasters, which gives it the right to financial support for recovery works and aid funds for the victims.
