Orproject wants to play with your furniture. At his nucleus, Plex, which was developed by the partners of the Rajat Sodhi and Christoph Klemmt project, has a single folded and mirrored double component, made of steel or copper sheets with a sustainable polyester coverage. The predrilated holes allow several connection points, creating countless design possibilities. With two pieces, there are six combinations; With three pieces, they go up to 60; And with four pieces, the options amount to 840 – and so on. The versatility and adaptability of the system is essential for its success. Users can move from creating a simple shelf or a seat to something much more complex – depending on their design aptitude. “To take it to the next level, we have developed algorithmic design tools to explore even more complex geometries, resulting in palpitating results,” adds Sodhi.
