Co-Acus insists that he did not see her on the day she disappeared

Saldanha Bay – a CO -acatzat in the process related to the missing little girl, Joshlin Smith, insists that she did not see the child on the day she disappeared.

Joshlin’s mother, Kelly Smith, Jacquen Appollis and Stevano Van Rhyn are accused of selling the girl to an unknown woman from the Gulf of Saldanha.

The trial continued on Monday, in Western Cape High Court, located at the Multipurpose Center in Saldanha Bay.

The child protection detective, Refilwe Sekhobe, ended her testimony after telling the court about the interview with Co-Acuzat, Stevano Van Rhyn.

Sekhobe told the court that he had taken Van Rhyn’s statement at the Police Section in the Gulf of Saldanha, on February 29.

Sekhobe said that Van Rhyn admitted that he was at Kelly Smith’s Shack on February 19 and witnessed the child with Lombard Lombard, a former accused who has since became a witness to the state.

Van Rhyn’s lawyer challenged this, saying that Van Rhyn was never inside the box and insists he didn’t see Joshlin that day.

The process continues.
