2 killed in route 55 in Glassboro, New Jersey, were current and former regional students in Delsea

The victims killed were identified as 19 -year -old Brenden Cary and Dominic Reyes, both in Franklinville, New Jersey

Glassboro, NJ (WPVI) – Two people were killed in a pile on the 55 route from Glassboro, New Jersey, Sunday. Another six were also injured.

Action News learned that the victims killed were a current student and a recent Graduate of Delsea Regional High.

They were identified as 19 -year -old Brenden Cary and Dominic Reyes, 19 years old, from Franklinville, New Jersey.

The accident happened on the northern side of the highway, near the 48th, around 4:15 pm and involved at least five vehicles.

Investigators say Cary was traveling north on RT. 55 When the right corner of his vehicle hit the left rear corner of a Honda CRV. This caused him to lose control, crossing the right band and hitting a handicap minivan on the right shoulder of the road.

A 17 -year -old passenger, who was also in Cary’s vehicle, as well as the minibulent driver, were seriously injured. Three other three that were inside the minibuses at the time of the accident suffered minor injuries.

Delsea school district said that pain counseling will be available Monday.

The accident remains in progress.
