Man arrested in the bazaar of Cox for sexual assignment of American woman

A man was arrested today for the sexual assault of an American woman in Cox’s Bazaar.

The incident took place on Monday around 10:00, on the House Road circuit in the municipal area, confirmed Cox’s superintendent of Saifuddin Shahin.

According to the police, the American citizen was walking on the House Road circuit with her female colleague, when a man identified as Tarek-in-Rahman, also known as Soilya Tarek (30 years old), blocked her and grabbed her.

He assaulted him then touching various parts of her body, said the superintendent.

Subsequently, the woman reported the incident to the police, who arrested Tarek around 4:00 pm in the Jhawtola area, he added.

The Arrest of Tarek is the son of Mohammad Farid de Mohajer Para in the Bazaar of Cox. He has several cases against him, including accusations related to the rape of the child, SP added.

SP Saifuddin said that the investigation is ongoing in this regard.
