Doctor pleads not guilty of attack – American Press

A local doctor facing the charges of sexual assault of a patient has introduced a reason for guilt in the district court.

Bahman “Ben” Sabbaghian, who practices family medicine and general surgery in Jennings and Crowley, was officially accused and notified for a number of sexual batteries.

Sabbaghian entered his plea through his lawyer, Kevin Stocktill in Lafayette, at the 31st Jennings judicial district court.

The sexual battery of offenses, according to Louisiana law, is defined as the intentional touch of a person’s breast or buttocks without their consent.

The matches in this case are scheduled for May 28, according to the Lauren Heinen District lawyer.

If he is convicted, the Sabbaghian could face a fine of up to $ 1,000 and/or up to six months in prison.

Some patients in the parishes of Jeff Davis and Acadia accused the improper Sabbaghian during medical exams.

Despite the accusations, Sabbaghian’s medical license remains active for Monday and no disciplinary action is presented on the site of the Louisiana medical examination council.
