Joshua Nordsving, who resigned from the position of mayor of the Canton in January, was accused of a number of serious criminal offenses of a child and two charges of internal attack. He pleaded guilty for an accusation of internal attack on March 4.

Nordsving was re -elected as mayor of the canton in the general elections of November 2024. He was unpopular, earning 85% support with 116 votes. And he resigned in January.
