Ex-employed has been accused of stealing $ 68,000 from West Fargo Hockey Association

West Fargo, ND (KVRR-KFGO)-a former gambling employee for the West Fargo Hockey Association was accused of theft of crimes for stole about $ 68,000 from the organization.

Steven Lyon from Moorhead has been a long -term employee who was a bingo manager.

The executive director of the association, Jeremy Jorgenson, says that Lyon took the money from electronic gambling cars.

Jorgenson says when he faced, Lyon acknowledged theft. He says Lyon was fired, but he could pay the money back almost immediately.

Theft has been related to the State Commission for Games, as needed, and Jorgenson says that Lyon will not be allowed to work in charitable games in Northern Dakota in the future.

Jorgenson says the auditor of the association quickly discovered discrepancies and processes and procedures were in force that linked the theft to Lyon.

The association has 11 game sites in West Fargo and CASS county.
