Compensation announced for fire victims by CM

Delhi Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, expressed, Tuesday, the sadness for the death of three people in a fire that broke out in a slum near AGCR Colony, East Delhi and expanded the financial assistance of `10 Lakh to each grieving family. He also visited the affected site to meet the grieving families, offering condolences and ensuring all the possible assistance from the government.

During his visit, the chief minister was employed with the victims, gathered first -hand information on the incident and evaluated the extent of the damages. She reaffirmed that, as soon as the authorities received fire information, the fire control teams were immediately implemented to contain the situation and to mitigate the additional damages.

Expressing the pain for the incident, she said the government deeply sympathizes with the affected families, who came from the Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh.

As the families console, Gupta said: “My deepest condolences for all the affected families. A poor family strives to build a house and such tragedies completely shatter their spirit. I pray for the peace of the souls departed for strength to the grieving families.

Although we cannot cancel their loss, the Delhi government will expand all their possible support. The families of the deceased will receive 10 RS Lakh each as financial assistance from the Government. “

It also ensured that the Delhi government undertakes to provide the necessary support to the affected families and trained the authorities concerned to carry out a comprehensive investigation on the incident.
