Girl Scouts faces the class action process that claims that cookies contain heavy metals, toxins

A proposed process of class action claims that some cookie cookies contain heavy metals, pesticides and other toxins.

New York (WPVI) – A proposed process of class action claims that some cookie cookies contain heavy metals, pesticides and other toxins.

A woman in New York made the trial in the federal court Monday.

The process cites a study by “Moms Town America” and “OMM Science”, which claims that 100% of the tested cookies have contained toxins.

It is important to note that the statements of the study are based on a small sample dimension of only 25 cookies from three states

The study has not been reviewed on a peer or published in a scientific journal.

The process requires damages of $ 5 million for people who bought US cookies

It also asks the cookie sellers to reveal the substances on the packaging.

Girl Scouts of America responded to the accusations on a blog post last month. The organization says that cookies are safe for food and are manufactured in accordance with all food safety regulations, adding that heavy metals appear naturally in the soil where the amounts of traces are not a safety problem.
