The man accused by Ashland Murder

Ashland, Ky. (WSAZ) – A man from Ashland is accused of murder after a shot at a hotel Wednesday morning.

Ashland police have been called to BlueGrass Inn on Winchester Avenue around 3 in the morning for a shot.

When the officers arrived, a man was found with a wound shot in the parking lot.

The officers say he was transported to a hospital where he died.

The police accused Christopher Hammond.

Investigators say the victim and Hammond were involved in a verbal struggle before the shot took place.

Hammond is held in the detention center in Boyd County.
