He headed for his car while others sprint. Then won Le Mans

People are still talking about a “Le Mans”. For more than four decades, a line of drivers would sprinkle on the famous northwestern track, would jump in their cars and scream for the 24-hour endurance race.

But there has not been such a beginning at Le Mans since the 1960s, and the man who helped to conclude it, in the most theatrical way possible, is now seated opposite AFR weekend.
