A rapist cried in court, while the judge closed it because he raped a woman while sleeping at a Travelodge hotel. James Cox subjected the victim to the “horrible” attack in the morning, after being thrown with alcohol and cocaine.

The police participated in his room to find it bloody, having a car with a glass fragment. A judge told him that he would have to “live with shame for the rest of his life.”

Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday after -on Tuesday, March 11, that Cox was sitting at a travelodge hotel at the time of the incident and spent the drinking night. The next morning, another guest woke up around 7 o’clock in the morning to find the 29-year-old from the Sherwood Avenue in Rhyl, North Wales, kissing his neck and raping it after removing his ass.

Gareth Roberts, a criminal prosecution, described how the officers then attended his Chamber, after the incident was related to the Merseyside police, but received no answer. When the door was unlocked by a member staff, the PCs found it on Cox with a “deep laceration” at the wrist and holding a piece of glass.

The defendant was then taken to the hospital to receive treatment for this injury. Its criminal record shows registrations for a drunk and disorderly behavior, resisting an arrest, a public crime and holding cannabis.

Callum Ross, the defense, told the court: “This is an defendant who knows and understands the severity of what he has done. To say clearly, he must live with this for the rest of his life and him.

“He has a positive work history. He clearly has problems with drug use. The defendant has been very sincere about cocaine addiction. He tells me that he feels better already as a result of his residue and being abstinent of drugs. This is perhaps a positive arrest and will help to rehabilitate in time.”

Cox acknowledged a number of rape. Appearing through the video link with HMP Liverpool wearing a gray Under Armor track, he was seen wiping tears while closed for five years and three months.

He will be forced to serve two thirds of this term behind bars before becoming eligible for release. The conviction, Judge Neil Flewitt Kc said that “the horror of what he had undoubtedly a deep and lasting effect” and added: “You had a relatively long -term dependency of cocaine, which was aggravated by your use of alcohol. That could explain what happened that night.

“This was a horrible offense. You had problems with the police before, but not for anything on this scale. It is said that you will have to live the rest of your life with the shame of what you have done and accept it.

“It could be good that drinks and drugs play an important role to play in what happened. This was largely self -induced. It was your choice to abuse alcohol and drugs and therefore you must take the consequences of your behavior when you have been under their influence.”
