New Delhi: The post-mortem reports of three young people from J&K’s Kathua, who were found dead three days after they disappeared, did not reveal any shot wound or a physical attack, excluding an angle of “terrorist attack”.
Trauma lesionsIncluding to their head, they indicate their death by “accidental fall from a height,” sources said.
Sharing this, sources from J&K Govt also told Toi that two more minors, who disappeared from the same district – were reported by their family as missing only a few days ago, although they left February 28 – they had an argument with their family and eventually left home.
This, the sources said, happened before with the cousins, aged 12 and 15 and both shepherds, staying away from their family home to make jobs with daily salaries. Police are investigating with their relatives and employers to follow them.
According to the post-mortem reports of the three residents in Kathua-identified as Darshan Singh, 40 years old, Yogesh Singh, 32 years old and Varun Singh, 15 whose bodies were discovered on March 8 in a gorge near a waterfall, the cause of their death was an injury to the trauma and their heads. A backpack worn by one of them stuck on a branch while they fell. A mobile phone used by them was also recovered from the scene. A bottle of liqueur with half of its consumed content was found, pointing to a possible urge of the two adults.
“Their viscera reports are now expected for an additional perspective on the cause and circumstances of the deaths,” said a source.
The interviews with the members of the family of the three deceased people, who were on their way to a wedding in Lohai Malhar, revealed that they were in touch with them by phone until the evening of March 5 and even communicated that they lost their way while moving with the wedding party. However, a few hours later it was found that their phones are stopped.
