Former police officer Savanna sentenced to prison for sexual assault

A federal judge sentences a former savanna, Oklahoma, police officer to 40 years in prison for stopping the body’s room and sexually assaulted a woman during a traffic stop.

Investigators say Jeffrey Smith was at her first solo change as an officer when she stopped the victim and her lover.

They say that Smith started asking personal questions and learned that the victim had worked at a gentleman club.

Investigators say Smith stopped Bodycam and Dashcam, brought it to his vehicle and agreed it.

This was the first conviction and punishment on the basis of a new federal law that increases the sanctions for the violations of civil rights that involve sexual conduct.
