Cape Town – a former accused who transformed the state witness is to continue his testimony into the Joshlin Smith trial on Friday.

Joshlin’s mother, Kelly Smith, Jacquen Appollis and Stevano Van Rhyn are experiencing charges of kidnapping and trafficking in the girl’s disappearance.

The accused is tried at the High Court of Western Cape, located in the Multipurpose Center of Saldanha Bay.

Lombaard took the position briefly on Thursday to testify against Smith, Appolis and Van Rhyn.

Earlier this week, preacher Steven Coetzee told the court about Smith’s intention to sell his three children for R20,000.

Smith would have met the woman the day before Joshlin disappeared before returning home with a pack of money.

Lombaard said in court on the same day when he was about to visit Smith, he saw a white Bakkie parked next to Smith’s cabinet.
