The short list announced for the British Diversity 2025 British Awards prizes

Some of the most prominent figures in the UK in sports, entertainment and activism have been pre -selected for 2025 British prizes of diversityset to take place in London next week.

The annual event, which is now in the fourth year, who celebrate people and organizations that champion the diversity, equity and inclusion in society and work, will take place on Wednesday, March 19, at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.

This year’s candidates include a comedian and BBC strictly 2024 Winner Chris McCausland, football icon Ian Wright obeand Activist and presenter Katie Piper Obe, who were pre -selected in the Mass -Media champion in the Public Eye category.

The initiative “Speak Up Sing Out” of the Elton John Aids Foundation has been recognized in the category of the project of the Year.

In the category of the athlete who fuels positive changes, Sporting Greats Sir Mo Farah and Marcus Rashford MBE are joined by Cindy Ngamba, the first refugee Olympic medal for the use of sport to lead positive changes in society.

The prizes, hosted by the broadcaster Charlene White and the winning presenter of Bafta, Dr Ranj Singh, present 21 categories that honor people, networks and organizations that strive to make the jobs and more inclusive communities.

Companies, including National Grid, EDF Energy, Occado Group and Virgin Media O2, are among the corporate candidates, with standout prizes recognizing efforts in ethnicity, sex, lgbtqia representation and social mobility.

The founder of British Diversity Awards, Linda Riley, expressed pride in the increasing impact of the event.

“I am pleased that the British Diversity Awards, only in the fourth year, have now become the largest prizes of diversity in the UK,” she said. “This year I received a record number of records. Our event shows diversity – it is always to spell it with a capital D – and it is here to stay! “

The main sponsor LSEG joins Allianz Commercial, Amazon, BT Group, HSBC Innovation Banking and other major companies that support the awards.
