A man in Sanford who was charged with the crime hit and ran after a Car accident that killed a 16 -year -old in 2023 He was found guilty of a lower accusation related to the case in the upper courtyard of Lee County, after a three -day trial this week.

Josue Palacios from Sanford was found guilty of crimes of hit and running offenses, failing to report an accident and has no operator license. Initially he was accused of a number of kick and running offenses related to the accident, however, the jury found him guilty only by the smallest included in crimes and action.
