Sean Combs plead is not guilty of new replacement indictment

Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared on Friday in court to plead guilty for two new requisitors who were revealed against him in January and early this month.

The normally dark hair of the 55 -year -old was completely gray, along with a gray beard, which he had increased since his arrest from September last year. When he entered the federal courtroom in Manhattan, Combs smiled at his son Christian and his daughter Chance, later giving a wave to his little Janice, who returned to half an hour.

Combs spoke with confidence as he addressed the American district judge Subramanian, marking the first time he spoke directly in court after being notified in September for sex traffic, conspiracy and rocket transport to engage in prostitution charges. He pleaded not guilty.

The founder of Bad Boy Entertainment acknowledged that he had read and informed about the two new indictments, which extended the alleged offenses committed in the accusation of missile conspiracy. Prosecutors added two alleged victims of the case and accused forced labor comb and abusive treatment of its employees.

The judicial hearing on Friday has largely eliminated programming issues before the May 5 process. Subramanian decided that the jury questionnaires will begin to be administered on April 28, a direct process – a major part of the jury selection – on May 5, and the opening statements will take place on Monday, May 12.

The prosecutors wanted to start the process of selection of the jury, on Monday, April 21, in the objective that the opening arguments could start on the beginning date of the May 5. Anticipating about an eight-week process for six weeks for prosecutors and two for defense-prosecutors noted their concern that any delay in the proposed program would determine the process of stretching in the past of July 4, on the holiday weekend, which, in turn, could have an impact on the potential program of the jury.

Meanwhile, the Defense team of Combs wanted the selection of the jury to start on May 5 and have an attempt to open on May 13. They recommended that two sets of 300 potential jurors – 600 in total – to complete written questionnaires during two days. These answers would be collected and revised, because both parties drive away the enormous group of people up to 12 jurors and a handful of alternatives.

Combs’s defense team also brought their problem of security materials to the hotel, which shows Combs who physically attacks the former “Cassie” Ventura’s girlfriend in a hotel in 2016. Filming was broadcast by CNN in May last year.

Prosecutors have acknowledged that they intend to use the filming materials as a process exhibition, with several witnesses talking about the event. But Combs’s team claimed that CNN “substantially modified (materials) in significant regard” and “destroyed the original materials”. (A CNN spokesman denied that the original materials were destroyed for TMZ. “CNN has never changed the video and destroyed the original copy of the filming, which was kept by the source. CNN broadcast the story about the video a few months before Combs was arrested. “) The sub -Ramanian judge did not issue a decision regarding the use of the materials filmed at the trial.

Prosecutors have accused combs of using his billion-dollar empire as of “criminal enterta” to commit a rank of offenses, according to the indictments, including “sex traffick, forced labor, arson, brick, and obstruction of justice” from 2004 to 2024. Picture of a Dangerous and Abusive Man, Prosecutors Claim Faced Romantic Partners To Submit to His Will and Engage in Freak-Offs With has hired male sex workers through manipulation, constraint, threats and violence.

“Mr. Combs said before and will say it again: he vehemently deny the accusations made by SDNY,” said Marc Agnifilo, Combs’s defense lawyer, in a previous statement for Rolling stone. “He is looking forward to his day in court, when he will become clear that he has never forced anyone to engage in sexual acts against their will.”

Although the government has not appointed any of the victims or witnesses in this case, it is clear that Ventura is considered a victim-1 in this case. The initial indictment in September has closely followed the accusations that Ventura leveled against the comb in his process of explosive sex abuse of November 2023. The R&B singer claimed that, throughout his ten-year relationship with her boys’ label, she was physically beaten and forced to consume sex. Combs denied his accusations, and the trial was resolved in 24 hours.

The two substitute indictments expanded the sphere of prosecutors’ investigation, dating the time period of conspiracy in at least 2004. “The government added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs were not friends, but they were prostitutes,” Agnifilo said.

Prosecutors also support Combs once “gave a victim on a hotel balcony”, apparently a reference to designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, a creative who sued in November. In Her processBongolan-which was close friends with Ventura-arates, he beat the balcony on the 17th floor of Ventura in September 2016, while screaming at it.

The Government also included the alleged forced labor and abusive treatment of employees who worked in several businesses. He is accused of maintaining control over the life of certain employees, leading to “believe they would be injured.” Regarding a staff, the combs “used physical strength, physiological injury, financial injury, reputational injury and/or threats of the same to determine the employee to engage in sexual acts with comb”, says a March indictment.

Agnifilo said there are a lot of former employees who will vote for their boss. “Many former employees stand next to him, ready to attest to dedication, hard work and inspiration they have experienced, while helping to build award-winning business,” he said.

As the combination is preparing for the trial, his defense lawyers said a changed man comes to court. They claimed that he was looking for professional help and left for the rehabilitation years before addressing his problems of substance use. However, a Rolling stone January investigation Fuels found was still volatile, taking substances that could change mood and was supposed to be sexually abusive. More than a dozen people claimed that Combs had physically attacked, drugged and/or sexually assaulted between 2016 and 2024. The former executive assistant of Combs, Phil Pines, detailed how he was forced to work constantly, which damaged his mental health.

“It’s a fool,” said Nathan, a sex worker who claimed to have been employed for more of Combs “rub-offs”. “It is not reformed. He just wanted to get out of prison. Is the same person. ”
