Protestant residents support police brutality

The residents of Dube Village injured when the police broadcast on Monday a furious lot with rubber bullets at an Esikhaleni Community protest, I think they were intentionally targeted.

While residents claim that the police followed them in their homes and shot them inside their yards, King Cetshwayo Cluster spokesman, Captain Siyanda Shangase, said there were no reports on such incidents.

“Our police are well trained on the way of speaker and will not follow people at home, because their task is to participate in a scene,” he said.

After being without electricity on December 28, the residents took issues on the streets where they burned tires and other debris at the Evrando traffic intersection.

They blocked the roads and prevented the motorists from entering or leaving the city, coming face to face with the police.

The police are still on a large alert in the area to ensure the safety of the residents.
