The Kerala police lead a massive anti -drug coach, arrests 234 suspects, drug threat in kerala, abuse of substances in kerala, drug addiction

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala police arrested 234 people and confiscated various drugs, including MDMA, in a state -on -drug operation, officials said on Saturday.

As part of the special D-Hunt Drive operation, the authorities inspected 2,362 suspects on March 14 and registered 222 cases related to the possession of prohibited substances, the State Police Media Center (SPMC) said.

During the operation, the police confiscated 0.0119 kg of MDMA, 6,171 kg of cannabis and 167 cannabis beedis from those arrested. The unit aimed to reduce the storage and distribution of prohibited drugs throughout the state.

Coordinated efforts under tall officials
The D-Hunt operation is jointly implemented by the heads of NDPS coordination cells and the heads of the district police, under the leadership of the anti-Narcotic and ADGP (law and order) working group, Manoj Abraham, following the directives of the State Police Chief, Dr. Sheikh Darvesh Sahib, the statement said.

A 24-hour anti-narcotic control room (949797797) was established to receive public deactivation on drug activities. SPMC has assured the appellant’s details will remain confidential.

Authorities have stated that the repression will continue in the coming days by increased supervision and the creation of a database of persons engaged in drug offenses.
