Kalyan Taluka police arrested three people in Gujarat for killing a work colleague for a small problem in Kalyan two weeks ago. The police said they had fled from the scene before committing the crime.

About the case

The deceased was identified as Sagar Gothade, a 35 -year -old resident in Nashik and a worker working on the Samuddhi Mahamarg yard in Kalyan Taluka. The police identified suspects as Vishal Mali, 24, Badrinath Patil, 43 and Ganesh Surywanshi, all the residents of Malegaon.

According to the police, all four men worked on the construction site and lived together in a rented accommodation in the village of Chinchavli, Kalyan Taluka. Investigators suspect that confrontation appeared under the influence of alcohol on March 2. During the altercation, the three accused would have attacked Sagar with sharp weapons, hitting the head several times. As a result, Sagar collapsed and was found stretched into a blood basin. Fearing consequences, the trio ran out of the stage without informing anyone. The owner of the rented room later alerted the police.

The police have formed two teams and started an investigation. During the investigation, they learned that they did not use mobile phones and did not contact family members, which made their way of tracking. A team was shipped to Nashik, sneakers and adjacent cities to examine CCTV materials. With the help of technical information and local informants, they found that three of them were in Dharampur, located in Gujarat and arrested on March 13. They brought them to Kalyan, produced in court and withdrew in the police for further investigations in this regard.
