A student suffered severe head injuries when two students collide during a volleyball match at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule the Residential College of Khanapur Town

Nirmal: One student suffered injuries, when two students from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule the residential college faced another small problem in Khanapur on Sunday. His medical condition was taught to be stable.

Tharun, studying the first intermediate year, received head injuries when Thanay, a second intermediate year hit him after a TIFF over the rules of a volleyball match organized in college on Saturday night. He was admitted to a government hospital in Khanapur. Thharun and Thanay represent two volleyball teams, sources said.


Upon receiving the information, Tharun’s parents arrived at college and expressed concern about students’ safety. They asked officials to take measures to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents in the future.

Khanapur police said no case has been registered. However, it was found out that the police visited the college and made questions about the incident. College officials said measures are being taken to avoid confrontations between students.
