A preacher whose church was attacked by protesters two weeks ago, due to the accusations of sodomy was arrested.

The preacher faces charges of sodomy in a case reported to the Nakuru Police in 2022.

Sheila Kegode, the commander of the deputy Nakuru East, confirmed the arrest on the power of a issued term. An arrest order was issued on March 3, 2025.

This followed a police investigation into requests. She added that the suspect will be presented in court on Monday.

A victim reported the problem to the Nakuru Central Police Section in May 2022.

Among other things, a medical examination report indicated that a physical examination of the applicant suggested a blunt trauma in the anal region.

The preacher was arrested next to an ally to Nairobi before being transferred to the Nakuru Police Section.

According to the victim, the preacher lured him to drink alcohol in a night before teaching him to commit the indecent act.

At that time, the victim was a driver of Tuktuk in Nakuru, and the preacher approached him to transport him to an event before offering to buy drinks.

According to the victim, the preacher convinced him to enter his car after he managed to convince him to be his driver for a church function.

The driver claimed that, at the time of the incident, he was in the pastor’s company in a vehicle.

The vehicle had no rear chairs and, after drinking, he woke up a few moments later in sharp pain and was when he suspected he was sodomized.

Hundreds of young people and members of the public stormed the church in early March in Ruiru for similar charges.

Dozens of members of the public gathered outside the church who threatened to destroy the building if the pastor in question did not appear.

They brought down the church with some who say they did not want the pastor to remain in their community.
