Mvurwi -A motorist from Mvurwi, Mashonaland Central, was targeted by a three -people robbery tape, which crushed the vehicle windshield and left with a bag containing a substantial $ 14,100. The Police of the Republic of Zimbabwe (ZRP) confirmed the incident and launched an investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

ZRP spokesman, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, provided crime details, stating: “ZRP investigates a robbery case that took place in MVURWI on March 14, 2025.”

According to police reports, the incident took place along the GMB road, near the location of MBIZI, in Mvurwi. The victim, who was driving a Honda Fit hybrid vehicle, was intercepted by the three suspects traveling in a Black Toyota Probox.

“Three suspects traveling in a Black Toyota Probox vehicle, intercepted the applicant who was traveling in a Honda Fit hybrid vehicle along the GMB road near the location of MBIZI, MVURWI,” explained Commissioner Nyathi.

The robbers used a violent tactic, crushing the plaintiff’s vehicle’s windshield before seizing a bag containing the significant amount of $ 14,100. In addition to cash, the bag also contained an EcoCash Debit Card and an Innbucks visa card, still composing the victim’s losses.

ZRP appeals to members of the public who could have information that could help withhold the suspects to come and report it to the nearest police station. Any detail, no matter how small, could prove crucial in solving this case and bringing the guilty to justice.

“The ZRP has appealed to anyone who has information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects to refer to any closest police station,” asked Commissioner Nyathi.
