A man was found shot to death on a Birmingham road, the first homicide of the city in a month.

West Preccian officers were sent on Saturday at 19:00 to a person’s report down at the intersection between Avenue E and 16th Street in Ensley.

The police arrived to find the adult man who does not respond on the road. The Birmingham fire and rescue service pronounced him dead on the spot.

It was not immediately clear what caused his fatal wounds.
