Man accused of burglary after attack at Hornell Motel

Hornell -a man Hornell was arrested on Tuesday evening, after he was supposed to force his way in a motel room and assaulted another person during a noise dispute.

New York State Police responded to a physical disturbance to Econom Lodge at 7462 Seneca Road North, around 9:56 pm

The troops found more people outside the building when they arrived.

Zachary D. Smith, 25 years old, from Hornell, would have entered room 137 and physically assaulted the occupant following a disagreement on noise levels.

The investigation has established that Smith has damaged the door frame and the threshold during the incident.

The victim suffered multiple wounds and was evaluated on the spot by Hornell City Ambulance before being transported to St. Memorial Hospital. James for additional treatment.

Smith was arrested and charged with a second -degree burglary, a C -class Crime, together with third -degree attack and fourth -degree criminal mistakes, both class A.

He was processed at the North Hornell State Police barracks and was withdrawn to the Steuben County prison due to previous convictions.
