The office of the sheriff in Limestone County said that this operation strengthens their commitment to protect children and to ensure that those who prey to minors are brought in justice.

“These are exactly the types of predators we are about, those who talk to children on applications like Snapchat, where I think we cannot save their disturbing messages,” said Captain Caleb Durden.

“We can, too, and intend to use their own words and actions to follow them to the greatest extent of the law. What is most disturbing to me is the position that some of these individuals hold in their communities, living double lives and teaching the most vulnerable children. These predators searched for children for sexual acts, agreed to pay to have sex with children and then traveled from several different locations to do so before being arrested by my team, who did an exceptional, professional and thorough job. ”

Sheriff Joshua Mclaughlin said it is important for parents to be aware of their online children’s activity.

“Parents, please remain vigilant about the online activities of your children. No one thinks it will happen to their child, but the predators are there, hiding behind the screens, waiting for an opportunity,” said McLaughlin.

“Monitor games, phones and any internet connected devices. These special operations are complex and time -consuming, but we could not be more proud of the professionals dedicated to the Sheriff’s office in Limestone County, who work tirelessly to protect our community. Since February 2024, these operations have led to 27 arrests in Limestone County, each step towards keeping our children safe. “

This investigation remains in progress, with potential local taxes.

An agency outside the state has issued mandates for a person suspected of taking the minor. To protect the victim’s identity, no other details have been launched at this time.
