Police update 2: Testing of robbery theft, Camp Hill

Police accused a second man about the alleged property crimes at Camp Hill and Kangaroo Point on March 15th.

On Saturday at about 3 in the morning, a Kia Sorrento was stolen from a kangaroo address.

At 6 in the morning, a 48 -year -old man on Audrey Street at Camp Hill was approached by two men armed with a model, who asked for the man’s car keys.

The man refused and was assaulted, holding lacerats on his arm and chest.

The pair then left for the stolen Kia Sorrento, which was later located abandoned.

Shortly after, two BMWs, including a silver BMW320i, were stolen from an address from Henderson Street.

Around 12:45 am this morning, March 17, the silver stolen BMW320i was observed by the police traveling west on Duffield Road from Margate.

The officers tried to intercept the vehicle before supporting the police and fled from the area.

The vehicle was located by the Police Street Police from Redcliffe around 1.23, after it collapsed in a fence.

A 23 -year -old man was arrested on the spot and charged with several crimes, including Enter dweling and Commit, illegal use of a motor vehicle, the dangerous operation of a speed offense and evasion of the vehicles at night.

The bail was refused and is about to appear before the Court of Redcliffe magistrates today, March 17th.
