The businessman beaten for the alleged sexual assault of 2 children in Faridpur, saved by the common force

A businessman from Faridpur was subjected to a crowd, after trying to sexually attack two children, showing pornographic videos on a mobile phone last night (March 16).

Hundreds of people surrounded Rezaul Karim Munshi, the owner of a doc in the port of the Faridpur river, and later attacked him.

The police and the staff of the army intervened after about an hour and a half, saving the businessman and taking him to the police station.

The Kotwali (OC) police officer, ASADUZZZAMAN, said: “Upon receipt of the news, several police teams rushed on the spot. However, because of the big crowd, I sought assistance from the army ”.

“The army’s staff joined the police in managing the situation and, finally, saved the businessman from Hazat Jamaddar’s oil store, where he had been closed by the crowd,” he added.

“Before the arrival of the security forces, the angry crowd has already assaulted him, leaving him with minor injuries,” OC said.

He also mentioned that the legal actions will be taken in accordance with the law after contacting the families of the victims.
