Manhunt On for Escapes from Kuching Court

Kuching: Police are actively looking for two male prisoners who escaped during a robbery process at the Kuching Court on March 7th.

The head of the police in the Kuching district, ACP, Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, said the two suspects, aged 26 and 27, fled around 11.30 at the Kuching Court.

Duo is identified as Mohd Hissalezwan Abd Zamri and Muhammad Nasrie Razali.

“The case is investigated in accordance with section 223/224 of the Criminal Code, which provides for a two -year prison sentence, a fine or both,” he said.

“The two prisoners are still tried for a case in accordance with section 395/397 of the Criminal Code (sentence without firearm),” he added (March 17).

He said that the persons who house the two suspects could be charged in accordance with section 225 (B) of the Criminal Code, which provides for a three -year prison sentence and a fine.

ACP Mohd Farhan asked the public to provide any information related to the two escapes, contacting the nearest police station or the Kuching IPD control center on 082-2444 or reaching the senior investigation officer, Chris Olsen Ramlee, on 013-8607572.
