One person died early on Monday, after a car drove on a wrong road along 70, near the southeastern part of Columbus, collapsed with his head in Semi, said Columbus police.

A Columbus police dispatcher said that the accident happened at 1:08 AM on I-70 East, near the intersection 270.

One person was transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital and later died, the dispatcher said. The dispatcher could not say whether the person was in the semi or the unidentified vehicle that hit him.

The collapse originally closed the traffic in I-70 in both directions, the dispatcher said. I-70 West reopened at 5 in the morning, but from 6 in the morning, to the east I-70, and the ramp from I-270 from the north to the I-70 East remained closed.
