Woman, 55 years old, dies after suffering burns at ‘97% of her body ‘in Port St. Lucie Backyard Bonfire Incident

The police said a seal in the yard was deadly transformed into the weekend in Port St. Lucie.

The officers said they responded to a house located on Southeast Rainier Street, on Friday night, about midnight.

Police said a 55 -year -old woman was burning seriously after using an accelerant while lighting a yard fire.

While the officers were heading, the fire could be extinguished by family members with a water hose. However, the woman, later identified as Karyn Patricia Alva Torres, suffered severe burns at most of her body.

Torres was taken to the Regional Medical Center for Treatment in Orlando. The police said that the doctors evaluated that she had buried in about 97% of her body.

The victim died because of her wounds a few hours later.

Police said the woman’s husband, Francisco Mosqueda, also suffered burns in his hands. He was taken to HCA Florida St. Hospital. Lucie for wounds described that he could not endanger life.

No other details about the incident were available immediately.
