McGill’s Suspend Tillicoulry Bus Services due to violence

Midland Bluebird from McGill pulled the plugs on the buses stopping in Murray market following an increase in violent incidents.

As reported by Advertising agent Earlier this month, the operator canceled the services through Tillicoultry, after masked vandals broke the windows and tried to force their way on board.

In response, McGill’s confirmed that buses 51, 52 and H2 will not stop at Murray Square this week from 7:00 pm.

An update on the Midland Bluebird site shows: “Due to a significant increase in antisocial behavior at the Tillicoulry bus position, we regret that we will inform you that the service to Murray Square will be suspended starting at 19:00 today, Monday, March 17, 2025.

“This suspension will continue every evening at the same time until Sunday, March 23, 2025.

“During this period, services 51, 52 and H2 will be redirected by -along High Street and A908.”

The last six months have registered an increased increase in antisocial behavior aimed at buses and their drivers.

The projectiles were reported to be thrown at Windows, while a group tried to open the doors of a vehicle on February, March 27th.

Last year, in September 2024, the passengers were left terrified when stones were launched on their windows, shattering while the bus went through Tillicoultry.

Incidents were reported to the police, who confirmed that they had opened surveys on violence.
