Mayfield Heights to make off the trash bins left after 24 hours

Mayfield Heights, Ohio (Woio) – a new garbage collection ordinance has been unanimously transmitted to Mayfield Heights.

According to the city, if you leave your trash more than 24 hours after lifting, you can cope with a minor crime.

The Municipal Council has classified the issue as an emergency, allowing them to enter into force immediately.

19 News talked to my anthony police chief about the ordinance that his officers will have to apply.

“It is not a thing in search of our officers,” said me. “If we receive a complaint, in the past there was no appeal, we could not address the problem.”

Now, they will be. Sonny Mazzola has lived in the area for 50 years. He tells me that he was shocked that this is a true ordinance that was discussed and voted.

“There are a lot of other things in many neighborhoods that should be addressed, other than garbage can,” Mazzola said.

Courtney Lewis, it is not sure if the city should be able to make these restrictions.

“We are not part of a HOA, so I don’t think it should be a thing to be fine or know a consequence so we can’t bring our garbage can,” Lewis said.

My boss says 19 news if I receive a complaint, they will first give someone a warning.

If it becomes a regular event, then they will decide if a minor offense should be given.
