Long branch man accused of robbery after the incident of purchase


Ocean Township, nj “A long branch man is experiencing several accusations, including robbery, after being assaulted by an employee of the store while trying to run away from a Sunset Avenue, the police said.

Gregory H. Sims, 49, was accused of shopping and assaulted an employee before fleeing on the stage on March 16, at about 1:35 pm, the officers responding to a report could not locate SIMS initially, despite the assistance of a sheriff of the Sheriff in Monmouth County.

Shortly, the officers observed SIMS near Motel Tower on route 35. It was arrested without incident and transported to the police headquarters. According to authorities, SIMS recognized his involvement in shoplifting during an interview with detectives.

SIMS was accused of robbery, violation, detention of drug parafernal and contempt for the court. He was taken to the correction institution of Monmouth County, where he is waiting for an initial appearance in court.





The authorities have credited several officers, including Detectives Dean Schoch and Zachary Rhein and Sergeant Michael Melody, for their roles in arrest.
