Accidental shooting leaves a wound

Sf. Landry Paroch – The Opeloousas Police Department is investigating an accidental shooting that left one injured and another in arrest.

The officers were called to Opeloousas General Hospital after receiving reports about a victim of male shootings that arrived with the private vehicle. The man was suffering from a wound shot at the foot.

According to the police, the initial details of the victim were limited. However, a second individual, who helped transport the victim, told investigators that shootings had happened inside a residence during the horse. The witness explained that a firearm fell out of his pocket and, as he tried to recover, the weapon accidentally evacuated, hitting the victim.

The police say the two people involved are linked and have confirmed that the shooting was unintentional. Jakaylen Hollier was arrested and charged with negligent injury.
