Three arrested under charges of burglary Thestar

Angola – three people – including a man from Auburn – were arrested for burglary and drug accusations, after the police were warned by their activity by a caretaker in Jackson Township, who reported to the police after seeing them on a route room.

Immediately after 12:30, on Wednesday, the deputies of the sheriff in Steuben County responded to a residence in the 5700 block in West, CR 200N in the rural city of Jackson in Steuben County, in the report of the suspected vehicle career.

The residence has been unoccupied because of the owner living at a local medical care unit.

When deputies came with initially, they found two unoccupied trucks parked between two barns on the property.

Arens was charged with burglary at a residence, a level 5 offense; possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 offense; Possession of marijuana, a class B crime; and the possession of parafernalia, a Class Crime Cr.

Klopfanstein was accused of burglary at a residence, a level 5 offense; possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 offense; and the possession of parafernalia, a Class Crime Cr.

LADD was charged with burglary at a residence, a level 5 offense.

An offense of level 5 has a prison sentence between 1-6 years and a level 6 offense has a prison from 6 months to 2 1/2 years.

Both arens and Klopfenstein remain held in the prison in Steuben County, instead of a bail of $ 5,000.00. Since then, LADD has registered 10% of a $ 5,000 bail and has been released.

All three had initial hearings on Wednesday. No information about Ladd or Klopfenstein was not listed. Foy McNaughton was appointed legal advisor for arens.

The incident remains in investigation by the Sheriff’s office in Steuben County. Assisting on the spot were officers with the Police Department of Angola and the State Police in Indiana.
