New Braunfels, Texas – Update on 3/17: The office of the medical examiner of Bexar County confirmed on Monday that a 12 -year -old boy died of an accidental drowning.
The boy died from brain/asphyxia/drowning, according to the medical examiner. His death was driven an accident.
The city of New Braunfels said that the boy was initially admitted to critical condition after going underwater for an unknown period.

Original story: Police and Fire crews in New Braunfels said a 12-year-old boy almost drowned on Friday afternoon in the Guadalupe River.
The authorities said that both agencies were sent to a possible drowned call immediately after 3:30 pm at Cypress Bend Park, which is located along the Guadalupe river.
New Braunfels official officials said Park Rangers were the first to come to where they learned that a 12 -year -old boy and his family in San Antonio were on vacation in the river, when the boy left under a unknown period.
Rangers Park initiated life rescue measures until both the police and the fire crews arrived on the spot, the city said.
Officials said the boy was first taken to a new Braunfels hospital, where he was stabilized before he had taken the helicopter to another hospital in San Antonio.
According to the city, the victim is in critical condition. At this time no other wounds have been reported.
The first respondents said that there are no apparent signs of bad game in this incident.
