PBBM Party List Group faces disqualification

The regional group of Pilipinas Babangon Multi (PBBM) regional group is facing a case of disqualification before the election commission (Comelec) for alleged irregularities in the declared residence of its candidates.

Manila, the Philippine-Regional Party Lists of Pilipinas Babangon Multi (PBBM) is facing a disqualification file before the Commission for elections (Comelec) for alleged irregularities in the declared residence of its candidates.

Jess Christian Ramirez filed a petition on March 7 last year to cancel the PBBM registration, the 7th list of party in the ballots looking for a representative house house in the next period.

PBBM is a party list that tries to represent Calabarzon.

However, Ramirez mentioned that “PBBM has made untrue statements in its registration petition, representing that it would meet or represent Calabarzon, but none of its programs, activities or candidates is connected or originally from the mentioned region.”

Ramirez mentioned that most of the 10 party candidates said that their residence is in Abra, who is not part of the Calabarzon region.

“These findings exhibit a clear and deliberate wrong presentation of the PBBM in demanding a regional political party representing Calabarzon, while dealing exclusively of candidates outside the region,” he said.

Inquirer.net sought the comment of PBBM-List List on Tuesday, but has not yet responded.
