Slams of Greek opposition renewed Israeli attacks on Gaza as in violation of international law

  • The new left party urges the international community not to shut up

ATHENS

The Greek opposition parties on Tuesday threw renewed Israeli attacks on Gaza as a violation of international law.

“The masks decrease and it is proved once again that the real objective of Israel and its allies is the annihilation of the Palestinian people in the region and the funeral of the perspective of creating an independent Palestinian state, as it is obvious from (US President Donald), Trump’s recent statements, which essentially provided for today,” -a statement.

Citing the trilateral meeting last week in Athens between Greece, the Greek Cypriot administration and Israel, in which the parties agreed to continue to improve the links, the party said the government is responsible for Israeli attacks.

“People in Palestine are not alone!

The new left party has strongly condemned the Israeli bombings that target civilians in densely populated areas, saying: “The criminal government of Israel ends unilaterally in cessation of fire on January 19, while continuing its crimes against Palestinians.”

“The international community, and especially the EU, cannot remain silent again or is not limited to rhetorical calls, while international law is flagrantly violated,” he added.

The request for an immediate cessation of fire leading to a lasting solution, recognizing the legitimate and legal rights of the Palestinians, the party said: “The new left is in solidarity with the long Palestinian people.

The Israeli army beat the Gaza strip on Tuesday, killing at least 404 people and hurting hundreds, violating the fire termination agreement that entered into force on January 19th.

The images that came out of Gaza showed that most victims were civilians, including women and children whose houses were bombed during the night

Over 48,500 Palestinians were largely killed women and children, and over 112,000 other injured in an Israeli brutal military campaign in October 2023.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a case of genocide at the International Court of Justice for his war on the enclave.
