Kuwait crashes on alcohol and drug traffic, arrested from Kuwaiti, Saudi and Indian

Kuwait City, March 18: As part of the continuous efforts to combat drug and alcohol, the criminal security sector, represented by the General Drug Department, has successfully detained a band of four members involved in the national distribution of the imported liquor and psychotropic substances.

Based on the information received and verified and after obtaining a legal authorization from public pursuit, suspects – TWo Kuwaiti citizens, a Saudi national and an Indian national – were arrested. During the operation, the authorities confiscated 919 bottles of imported alcoholic beverages and about 200 psychotropic tablets in their possession. The suspects, together with the confiscated objects, were handed over to the drug and alcohol tracking Office for additional legal procedures.

The General Department of Narcotics Control reaffirms its commitment to continuous security campaigns aimed at directing drugs and drug and alcohol promoters. The department emphasizes its unwavering position against anyone threatening the security of the company by importing or trading these prohibited substances.
