The accused of cyber traffic dies in the Police custody of Telangana

A man accused of trafficking in young people from Telangana in the countries of Southern Asia, under false promises, died following a heart attack while in police custody. The authorities confirmed that an investigation was willing to ensure the transparency and compliance with the legal protocols.

Following the death of the defendant, Alakunta Sampath, a thread was recorded in section 196 in Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). A senior officer supervises the case, the magistrate is conducted a judicial investigation, and a three -members’ forensic team will perform the autopsy. Also, the Human Rights Commission was informed about the incident.

Sampath, who was arrested under the crime for attracting individuals in Thailand, Myanmar and Laos in cyber slavery, was held at the Telangana Police Section. He was reserved under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), IT Act and Emigration Act. Following his initial judicial residue, Sampath was taken in police custody.

During the interrogation, Sampath confessed its role in the cyber traffic network and revealed the location of two hidden mobile phones. By acting in its statement, the police recovered the devices. The recovery process was carried out in the light of day in the presence of mediators and was fully documented, officials confirmed.

Sampath was restored to the police station, where he complained of fatigue and pain in his left hand. He was immediately in a hurry to the hospital, where the CCTV filming shows him by going to the hospital on his own. However, about an hour later, Sampath suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed.

Police officials said a transparent investigation would be carried out. “The investigation will comply with all the legal protocols established to ensure the correctness,” the authorities said.
