Defense Summa participating in discussions on the support of defense for Ukraine at the Presidential Palace

CEO of Summa Defense, Jussi Holopainen, participated in a meeting between Finnish and Ukrainian leaders organized for representatives of the defense industry at the Presidential Palace today. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, as well as the Minister of Defense Antti Häkkänen, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, and the Minister of Finance Ririkka Purra, among others.

The meeting discussed the support of defense for Ukraine and investments in the production of Ukrainian weapons.

The Ministry of Defense announced in February the launch of a new support program for Ukraine, which will direct the orders worth 660 million euros to the Finnish defense industry.

The name of the new listed company will be Summa Defense PLC. The holding of the current shareholders of the Meriaura Group in the new group of companies will be 11.9%, and that of the shareholders Summa Defense will be 88.1%.
