The “accidental” shooting hurts North Ave in Newport News: Police

Newport News, va. – A minor was in a hurry at the hospital following a shot on Sunday night.

The police said it happened just before 9:55 pm in block 800 in North Avenue. The officers came to find a minor inside a house that had been shot.

The juvenile had wounds that can endanger life and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The police noted that the shooting “seems to be accidental”. Authorities said there are no suspects.

The investigation is still in progress.
