Man killed after being hit by vehicle in Lumberton hit and rolled

Lumberton, NC (WMBF) – North Carolina police said a man died after being hit by a vehicle early.

The Lumberton Police Department said the incident happened just before 6:40 on the 2nd East Street, near the intersection on North Rozier Street.

The man, identified as Jimmy Tilley, 46, died on the spot.

The police added that the suspected vehicle involved did not stop and fled from the scene after hitting Tilley. Also, investigators work to identify that vehicle.
