The Michigan man is facing the charges of murder after the fatal peninsula collapse

Gogebic County, MI – a man was accused of killing about a tread in the upper peninsula who left a dead person and two others injured.

Brian Austin Berquist, 57, was arrested after the police responded to the accident, which took place on M-64 in the city of Marenisco in Gogebic county, on March 26.

The police say Berquist has lost control over the vehicle involved in the tread.

Berquist faces two charges of operation, while he was in a state of intoxication causing death and a number of murder.

He is held on a cash bond of $ 50,000, according to a Michigan State Police press release.

The front passenger of the vehicle, a 45 -year -old Bessemer woman was evacuated during the accident and pronounced dead on the spot, the police said. A 33 -year -old Bessemer man who was sitting in the back was treated for minor wounds.

The police were assisted on the spot by the Department of the Sheriff of Gogebic County, Beacon Ambulance, Marenisco First Respondents and the services of the victim of Gogebic county.

The accident remains in progress.
