Blackpool Road stays closed after two boys stabbed near Moor Park

DCI Sean Kelly-Martland, from South Cid, said: “This attack left a very weak teenager, and our thoughts are with him while receiving treatment.

“Our investigation is very much in the early stages, but we have a dedicated team of officers who conduct investigations for the location and arrest of the responsible ones.

“I know this could hear this, but I want to make sure you will see an increase in the presence of our officers in the area. If you have problems or information, please approach them as they meet their duties.

“If you see any record of the assault circulating on social networks, please remember that there are real people who are affected by this incident. Please refrain from sharing and speculating online and please report it through the appropriate channels.

“I want to make a direct call to anyone who could help us with our questions. We are particularly interested in seeing any Dashcam or CCTV file in Blackpool Road, and Moor Park Avenue, both close to Moor Park, between 15:30 and 16:15 today (31^Sf March).

“If you have seen something suspicious or have information, no matter how insignificant you may believe it is, please do the responsible thing and get in touch with us.”
