After the restoration of Lesor, Green Africa acquires planes held for the first time

After ACIA Aero Leasing refused three green aircraft in Africa, forcing the airline to suspend its operation, the airline, on Monday, announced the purchase of the first aircraft.

The management reports that ACIA Aero Leasing has restored three aircraft from Africa Green, forcing an operational suspension. The ART 72-600 affected aircraft are being registered by the Civil Aviation Authority in Nigeria (NCAA).

It was found that this Aero Leasing has triggered the recharge using the irrevocable authorization of the registration and the export request (Idera). This legal mechanism allows the locals to recover the aircraft if the airlines are default.

However, talking to leadership, Green Africa said that the aircraft that entered, an ATR 72-500 with producer 852 series and 5N-Gab registration brand, is expected to end shortly after the usual regulatory approvals.

The airline said the access bank has provided a failure to partially fund the purchase of aircraft. This development comes after the airline announced on Monday that it has to suspend its operations on the problems of the aircraft locator.

The founder and executive director of Green Africa, Babatunde Afolabi, said: “We are pleased to buy our first aircraft, another significant stage for Africa Green. This aircraft that enters will be pivoting, because we think of the next phase of our trip to bring a safe, accessible and reliable air travel.

According to the general director of Access Bank, Roosevelt Ogbonna, the bank has a special interest in supporting young enterprises.

“As one of the largest and leading financial institutions on the continent, we, at Access Bank, we have a special pride in supporting young enterprises that have the potential to redefine their industries and to act as a major catalysts on their local market and on the continent in general.

“We are impressed by the Green Africa story and delighted by the future trajectory of the brand. We are delighted to support the acquisition of the first aircraft held in Africa Green Africa,” said CEO Access Bank.

Green Africa was launched on the background of Covid-19 and entered the income service in 2021. Since then, Green Africa has established a strong presence on the domestic market as one of the most accessible and punctual airlines in the industry.
